Just sold a 2006 and bought my third Taco. Here is my thoughts on the two. The Ridgeline has more room overall more so in the rear. The trunk on the Ridgey was a great idea and I will miss it in the 16 Tacoma 4x4 Sport double cab. One of the main things that are missing in the Taco is a change holder. I also have a 2011 Highlander and it has much more storage than the Tacoma. Power back window is very nice in the Ridgeline Lang with the electric seats. Overall I like the 2016 Tacoma interior better but wish it had equal room as the Ridgeline.

From what I have read, the new Pilot is highly redesigned (body shell, trans, engine), so creating a PUSO (pick-up shaped object) from it only makes sense for them. I wouldn't buy one, as Honda's high prices, just like Toyota's, are not commensurate with their quality anymore. I'm just encouraged that there are more mid-size trucks coming out, which will hopefully shorten the Tacoma's redesign cycle due to more competition.

Not quite an equal comparison, as the Ridgeline is closer to a Tundra in terms of cab size. Of course, towing and hauling capacity is nowhere near a Tundra's. And that has contributed to the Ridgeline's poor sales - some buyers don't know what to make of it.

The Ridgeline is not in comparison with a Tundra. As far as interior room the back seat had about 3 inches more leg room than a Tacoma. Front seats had slightly more width but in no way was even close to the room that is in a Tuimage.jpg ndra.

Not sure if anyone has been watching the exterior dimensions. If the new Ridgeline is as wide as the new Pilot, then it's a good 4" wider than a 2nd gen Taco. It's also the same height as a stock 4x4 Taco while losing 2" of ground clearance. http://automobiles.honda.com/pilot/specifications.aspx
