I'm going to be replacing my HID headlights and want to get a new kit for my fog lights while I'm doing the work. I start to go crazy once I realize how many tabs I have open with a bunch of lighting information and different websites offering products.

After looking for a bit I've come across these and they seem somewhat legit. What are your thoughts, and if I have better options that I'm not seeing, please elaborate.

Are you trying to find a kit for your headlights or fog replacements?

    Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. To confirm, I am looking for both: a hi/low beam kit for my headlights as well as a fog kit

    Thanks

Your headlights can only perform so well with a drop-in HID kit. You should really consider a projector retrofit for a substantial upgrade in intensity as well as not producing glare for oncoming drivers. It's a pretty simple process, and as a TW member, you get 25% off of our retrofit kit too. My signature has some helpful links regarding that promotion and the installation of it.

You need to put projectors in anything running HIDs.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm trying to find out my options for complete projector kits as there are many options and upgrades, and I'm not sure if everything offered is legal or able to fit in my truck.

HIDs retrofits are not legal for street use. Neither are LEDs or high powered halogens. I wouldn't worry about the technical legality. If you put your HIDs in a projector, you won't blind others and have a better beam pattern, that is what is important. With an 08, you need to look at lights that fit 2005-2011. 2012+ will not work.
