I hit a bear on my way to work in August of 2014, at about 3:30AM as I work out of town. Kept going, I did not care to see how it was. I think I had nodded off a second or was day dreaming as it appeared out of no where it seemed, no time to react. I live in the mountains, so see nature about every trip, either going to work or when coming home on Fridays. Replaced the bumper, valance, new grill would not fit. Needed a new headlamp and had to epoxy the turn signal/side marker lights on one spot as they flopped a little after removing the balance of the grill. Pushed the A/C radiator back into the radiator, but no leaks. I was thinking of doing a little upkeep to the truck, but not now. Trading it in, dealer sight unseen is giving me $500. My poor '07 Civic has since hit two deer with only one expensive headlight pod needing to be replaced. Won't have to do this much longer, retiring end of March.

You hit a bear? that's not something you hear about every day!
Luckily it didn't do more damage

I should have just fixed the headlight, but it also had some damage behind the bumper and grill. I had to do some work behind the headlight as it was pushed back, breaking out the back of the light. A/C lines are bent, but no leaks. I adjusted the headlight by the light shining on my garage wall. The old truck needs TLC, but I have no interest since I've wanted a new/er truck the last 6 years or more and one thing or another happens to it, making an investment in it a unwise decision. Settled for the high mpg of the Civic, which only has around 70,000 miles now. It gets 39-40 mpg, even doing 60-70 mph.
