So just a little info on my set up: I've got 5100's in the front and rear, with the front set at 1.75". I immediately noticed that it was nose high, so I added the Wheeler's Progressive AAL in the rear, which added very little lift to the rear, if any at all. And I also don't have the TSB, my local dealership tells me there is no TSB for my vehicle.
As it currently sits, it appears to be nose high quite a bit, and it's driving me nuts. Do you guys think that if I dropped it back down to .85" it will correct the issue?
Is it also safe to assume that perhaps the AAL didn't give me the lift I was looking for because of the shell?

    Thanks guys!

The only way to know for sure is with before, and after measurements. Your going to lose ~ 1" in the front, if you drop down to .85. Take some measurements, and you'll know for sure. To me, based on that pic, I would think you would be level if you dropped to .85. Also, it doesn't look like level ground where your parked.

Unfortunately I did not take measurements before and after. I'm really just basing it off of appearances, which IMO seem obvious.
The ground I am parked on probably isn't perfectly level, but the truck looks like this pretty much everywhere it's parked.

Take some measurements now to get an idea. Hub to bottom of fender. Like I said, if you drop down to .85, your going to lose ~1" up front. Depending on goals/budget are/is, you could also just go with a full leaf pack to raise the rear some more, and leave the front as is.

My nose is high with my 5100 887 setup... and I am waiting to see what I get with the leaf spring recall. I will do the ICON AAL and see how it goes..... please post your solution..

I'm not really looking to add any more lift, so more than likely I will just be dropping the front back down. I'm ok with it being leveled out, or even a little rake. I just wanted to get some other opinions on what kind of drop I might get going down one level.

Are you sure that the spring perches are on correctly. We have seen many times people have gotten more lift than expected when they are installed upside down

I went with the Wheeler's, and I gotta say, I am extremely disappointed with it. The ride is fine, but it's advertised as giving a 1.5" lift, and I'm not certain I got any lift at all. Not to mention the main reason I went with it was to get rid of the nose high lean....

I'm not 100% sure on that. I can post some pictures tomorrow in the daylight. From what I remember they are installed correctly, cup side down, facing the snap ring.

It's a 1.5" lift without a camper shell on the bed, bro.

1.5" lift is quoted for a stock truck, which yours isn't.

You bought the wrong parts. I would try a block, or sell that 1.5" AAL and get RideRites instead.

Or drop that thing to .85! Sorry to speak matter of factly but you were either ill informed about those AALs and what 5100 setting to use with your shell or you just totally misunderstood everything.

Is the overload still in the leaf pack? I put the Icon 3-leaf(basically the same exact item)on my truck withOUT the overload and I got at least 1.5" of lift. I do not have a topper though.

Yes, the overload is still in. It was my understanding though that leaving it in would add lift.

Fair enough, I just wouldn't assume the camper is heavy enough to sag 5 leaf springs and an overload that badly.

Correct. How heavy is that topper?

Keep in mind dropping the front down will require a new alignment.

Other posters need to not fill his head with nonsense.

The front looks perfect for that setting. They're not installed wrong, if they were he'd be twice as high up front as he is now.

His shell is drooping his springs too hard and the 1.5" AAL makes maybe a half inch of lift with a shell on the bed. I had the same setup, and went with new leafs after the shell was thrown on just for this reason. I also had the same leafs as OP does. Everything is normal. He just has the wrong expectations out of the rear AAL and too much preload up front

I'm not sure of the exact weight, but if I remember correctly, somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250lbs

The stock pack is weak, and the AAL only helps marginally with a shell.

I got 2" of lift with the overload left in, and it all went away except half an inch when I installed my shell which is 225 lbs.

You aren't going to get much lift with that shell, unless you use a block, or new leaf pack (best option)

That makes sense. What do you think about dropping the front down to .85"? Should that level it back out and still be healthy for the suspension?
