Is anyone having frame rust issues on their 2009?I had mine to the dealer and they won't do anything because only 2005-08 were recalled. If you do call toyota customer experience 1-800-331-4331 and get a claim #.

I would go to another dealer, not trying to break your balls but that is bad !!! I would be livid !! Stay after them and good luck.

Yup. that sure doesn't look like surface rust. Its funny after all these years that Toyota still has an issue like this. It was a little worse in 1980 when they introduced the 4X4 Hi Lux. Mine lasted 7 years then. I don't know how you can get Toyota to address it though.

I called and got a claim #.they told me I can't paint it with rust preventive paint like por15 because it will void warranty if they do recall them. Its ok to paint if done by a certified tech.who has the money to pay for that?

Anybody that has a frame that looks like that should all get together and file a claim because that's the only way they will do anything about it. How the hell could they look at that and tell you it's ok ??

Western Pa. I heard certain states will apply CRC (corrosion resistant compound)free at the dealer.i was told at dealer that also doesn't apply to 2009's.

At the point your frame is at what the hell is the CRC going to do ?? That's like worrying about closing the gate once the cow got out. Man that sucks and I agree, like ya wanta run out and buy another one. I do wish ya luck with this.

Tacoma's are great trucks but you must treat the frame from day one - they will never buy rust protected frames - who every is in charge should be fired. It's been eight years of rusted frames that I have dealt with and I'm sure many more before and after my experience.
