First Tacoma... been meaning to get a truck for about a year. Was eyeing a new 2016, but after going under contract for a home - I figure it was best to save some cash. Found this 2006 113k beauty for quite the steal. She is as base model as they come. Maybe a tow package? Anyone know how to check?

    Loving it so far.

Truck seemed rather well kept. Maintenance records and all. Other than checking the fluids, any preventive maintenance or checks that you recommend? These babies have a chain right - so I shouldn't need to change that...

    Thanks~ excited to be here

Nice truck dude! I wouldn't go too nuts with the maintenance items. If you have the records and are happy with when services were done, I'd just check the air filter, change the oil and let er rip! You could check the levels on the diff and tranny fluid if you're feeling it. There's detailed write ups and pictures on all the big services here on TW so you can attack them when they're due yourself. Welcome, and happy modding! :D

Welcome, and very nice truck! For a 2006, that truck looks very well kept.

As far as maintenance goes, I like to 'start fresh' with my vehicles, meaning change all the fluids out so I know when they have been last changed. However, that's personal preference!

There are write-ups and videos on here for any maintenance that you may want to do. Also, this site will make you spend money by seeing what awesome things other guys are doing to their trucks!

Dog friendly, with dog snot on inside windows, with of course a/c! Mag 16 inch wheels from a Mazda.
Welcome, beautiful color! Looks simular to my basic 05 4 cylinder w/auto, had purchased it in 2012 with 80K miles. I did quite a few things over time changing the fluids including brake, differential, antifreeze, and automatic transmission fluids. Last several months I replaced valve cover gasket, installed mazda tribute mag wheels, aftermarket header, leather steering wheel, plastic truck tool box, cruise control, and wiper delay control switch. All this information on this site that help me on how to do this stuff. It's really addictive!

First thing I'd do is check and adjust all tire pressures including the spare. Hopefully that will put the TPMS warning light out for you.:fingerscrossed:

Welcome to TW, looks clean and sharp.

Haha nice eyes. Tires need to be replaced, they have some tread left, but are cracking. Think I am going to keep the stock steelies and throw some Michelin LTX MS2 on her.

Nice choice in tires, should suit it well.
