    If you look under your truck, at the downstream catalytic converters (the ones closer to the transmission or transfer case), do both have heat cages?

    I noticed tonight on mine that only the driver side has a heat cage while the passenger side is just there.

    OK nevermind. I found some pics of the underside of a 2016 and even on those the passenger downstream cat is bare.

    Mines the exact same 2007 Tacoma v6 Prerunner Accesscab. I just thought it got replaced because I bought it used. :confused:

    Maybe they are all like that.

    There are heat shields for the transfer and front drive shaft on 4x4's. Note, they are only on the Driver side. The y pipe / shields are probably identical regardless of v6 configuration
