Interesting..... It's funny....but, they say you should never buy the 1st year of any new model year.
But, if you look at this list....
The earliest models had only 17 TSB's while the newest ones had about 29. Go figure......

Thanks. You think if I showed some of these to Toyota, they'd still replace them? Or is it way too late?

If i understand you correctly, you want to ref a tsb to get work done.

If so these are not recalls. They are technical service bulletins to help fix known problems or reoccuring problems. The TSB will state if it is covered under warranty if the vehicle is in the warranty window. Otherwise your dime.

I use these to keep track of known issues for future ref. Also, I have even had non warranty work cost reduced because I pulled out the TSB and asked why I was charged xx hours for labor when the TSB stated much less.

Ford and Chevy service depts hated me.

Wow lame. So I have to pay for all these? Kind of cheap for a company to have their customers pay for their problems but I guess that just what it is. Thanks.

Not too many business in today's world that are honest. With the auto manufactures, their purchasing a wide selection of parts. From different manufacturers who are contracted out. They try to make the parts within specs, and as cheap as possible so it's affordable and profitable. With about 10,000 moving parts in today's cars, it's very hard to keep track of many models, years, and owners. If it's a safety issue they have a recall. If it's minor problem on a small number of cars like a windshield making a whistling sound at highway speeds then it's a TSB, with information on how to repair it. I do dislike what the auto Dealerships are doing on trade ins. They'll clean them up for resale, but do nothing about the car recalls. Then there's the shoddy body work shops, selling death traps to the consumer. It's a business to make a profit, buyer beware!
