So I bought a double cab sr and it didn't come with keyfobs or anything.

I'm guessing I can get a replacements at the dealer at an exorbitant price, or I can get one online. Only problem is that I can seem to find any replacements online.

Does anybody have a link to the right place, or maybe know if the keyfob for the previous gen work?

    Thanks!

That looks nice, but is it not possible to simply get a stock key fob? Or is the SR not equipped with the receiver meaning that I need to install an aftermarket?

Correct, you can just buy a key less entry system for the truck aftermarket!

I thought the SR and SR5 didn't have separate fobs, that it was the key/fob in one piece thing.

I have the same thing with my SR5. Been looking for the silicone sleeve that goes around the black plastic part with cut outs for the buttons. They are added protection for the key fob part.

Also going to get a blank key cut for the door lock only. Don't like carrying 2 big keys around just so I can leave my truck running and go into a store.

Thanks for letting me know @moe2o4, does anybody happen to know were I can get the exact same keyfob for 2016? I looked all over the place and can't find any info.

Found one on ebay that says that it works from the 2012 version all the way through 2016, but I'm not too sure if the system is really the same as last gen and they just changed the fob design.

I just don't need anything fancy but if I can't find anything, then this viper with remote starter is really tempting :)

Will do. I see you carry your fob/key on a ring with other keys. I am afraid the buttons would be pressed in my pocket and shorten the life of the battery. I have my key/fob on a key ring by itself. I guess I'm just a worry wort.
