My commute increased too. Dallas to NW Arkansas is quite a way! Good thing I don't drive it every week though, haha.

Hey bud how long did it take for you to do the retrofit? I'm thinking I'm going to do it, but I'm wondering if it's feasible to get it done in one weekend by myself, who has never done it before. I'm not going to be adding any halos, so that might cut down some time...

you can do it in a weekend easy. Once everything is painted you can get the headlights together in a evening.

That'd good to hear. I'm just a little nervous about the whole project. I'm afraid I won't get the headlight sealed up right and it'll get moisture inside. I also hear that you have to trim the Gatling Gun shrouds in order to fit the D2S 3.0 projectors in them. Not wanting to screw that up...

With no halos you should be fine to do it in a weekend. That's about how long mine took to do. As for the sealant, I got the sealant sold by TRS and just running a nice bead in the channel, then putting the lens back on and the two silver clips then reheating it worked perfect for me twice and I have not had any issues with moisture in the lenses. I had to trim the Apollo 3.0 shroud and its easy. You couldn't even tell where I trimmed it. Paint prep is key though, don't want a crappy looking paint job for the retro.

It's done in a day if you don't paint it. I started about 12 pm on a Saturday and finished up at about 3 pm the next day.

Thanks guys. I know this will be great once I'm finished. I'm currently debating 4500k or 5500k on 35W

I got 4500k and I think it looks great, not blue and not yellow. Just a nice white.

Are you on 35W ballasts? Do you happen to have any pics of the output?

Yeah 35w, ignore the crappy spread of light it was a blub seating issue. They look great now.
