I need some advice on how to go from 15 inch rim to 16 inch rim.. I have a 2007 Taco access cab and I'm just confused with the amount of information online... So my question is ... it is possible to changed my original rims 15 inch and go with just 1 inch size up (means 16 inch rim) without having a problems, meaning of changing a TMPS or have to do any other modification on my truck??? Does anybody has done it before??? or have done something similar.

    Thanks...

I debadged it, had to work a whole bunch and put on a K&N in time to deploy. Now my wife controls the money and hopefully I have enough when I get back to get her washed. Soooo... mods are in progress?
    Ok. 4 part answer.

    1) You can do it really easy. It won't hurt a thing. Just make sure you keep the same lug pattern or use other OEM tacoma/FJ wheels that will fit easy.
    2) TPMS is specific to the tire/wheel. They will do the rebuild kit on your specific tire on the new wheel when you have them mounted. All the vehicle senses is the RF pulse the monitor emits when it senses a low tire.
    3) You will need to have your speedo recalibrated for the difference in size (unless you can learn the difference or do geometry.
    4) If you go up 1" in wheel size, but stick with the same size tire, you are only going to get 1/2" of lift.

    Hope this helps. Good luck.
