I am looking at a 2006 TRD sport double cab long bed. It is very clean and appears to be well maintained. Has a matching topper. I looked up the VIN and toyota shows no active recalls for it.

It has 172k and they are asking 13k for it.

1.) is this mileage something to be concerned about? I will use it as a daily driver
2.) Kids in the back seat.. is there enough room? They are 3 and 6
3.) what else should I look for with it?
4.) what tires could I add without a lift to help it look better than it does?
    Thanks

As a daily, id look for something with lower milage. if the previous owner has all service records I wouldnt be too concerned. As for tires, I dig bf a/t ko2's without a lift. They look great. As for back seat, your kids will be fine!

Number 1, you need to check the frame for rust / holes. I see snow in your picture, therefore it has probably seen its fair share of road salt. The body can look perfect and the frame still be swiss cheese.

Back seat is fine for kids in a double cab. Very tight for adults though.

For tires, I absolutely love my Cooper ST Maxx's.

Mileage is kind of high, but if cared for properly, not a big issue.

My brother has a DC with kids 10 and 8 years old. No problems fitting in the back seat

I own the same truck (speedway blue 2006 DCSB trd sport) and I love it, except no camper shell yet, and I took the nerf bars off. I drive adults around in my back seat all the time, and they laud its spaciousness, and its quite roomy when I sit back there - I'm 5'10", a bigger taller person might feel cramped legroom if a tall person is also sitting in front.

I second @randd on checking rust - be picky!! I'm sure you've read about all the frame rust issues that can plague these trucks, make sure that you are satisfied with that frame, because its a big investment!

thanks for the replies. This truck cam e from Canada and I am in Michigan. Frame looks good. I am most concerned about the mileage. carfax shows 5 owners so I have no idea of the maintanence history. It is very clean and looks nice though
