Nothing worse than when someone starts a thread like this then takes forever to deliver.

Why not just wait until you have the actual results before you start a thread like this. 5 pages of bullshlt for nothing

Well here it is!!!! Sorry for the delay, we are busy and had to find an opening in our customer schedule that I could use to put my truck on the dyno. We did about two dozen runs to get a good average. Depending on temps it really only fluctuated about 2-3 hp/tq from lowest run to max. Average HP came out to 232 and average torque was 234. Enjoy the video!

What do you put to the wheels with all your mods rock? And is the torque rating close to the hp because of the manual/4.30 rear end?

Anyone have a similar chart for the 4.0 to post up to compare? I take it the 265 lb ft advertised by Toyota is not taken at the rear wheels? Sorry, I am not too knowledgeable on how this works with dynos and whatnot.

Someone else will chime in but I believe the manual and 4.30 rear diff puts more torque to the wheels than the 3.91 auto, so wouldn't it feel like you have a 280 ft lb torque rating?

I know that. That is why I posted the dyno chart from pickuptrucks.com where they tested from the wheels. Didn't realize the test truck was a manual.

The manual I tested did feel torquey and low in 1st. Still though, peak torque looks higher than the K&N dyno test. Just in a narrower RPM range.

So, what conclusions can be drawn from the dyno chart? Torque curve doesn't seem so bad. I guess if this uses the manual transmission it will be hard to say how the auto will perform.

It it normal for the torque curve to be that up and down? It seems to make pretty good low end torque at least. And I wouldn't take that k&n dyno chart very serious, it's showing 50 lb-ft at like 2500rpm. Must have been an auto I guess.

Doesn't even seem like it's worth the investment for those mods given the modest increase in performance.

Max torque is between 3-4K rpm, it slowly drops off after that. Does it say what kind of tires they used on the dyno, that's makes a difference as well.

Thx, didn't see that. Wasn't sure if it was a roller dyno or direct
