There are a bunch of reasons why you should not add spacers to the 5100s. Instead of the shackles, I would go with a Add-A-Leaf kit.

How high are you trying to go and what do you want to do with your truck.?

Only about 2.5-3 inches. I need new shocks in the rear for sure, maybe front too. Just looking for a cheap all around lift. I also thought about this kit:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0208959523&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT
    OR:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0121462824&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT

What are thoughts on those kits?

another though....what if I was to add some 3" lift springs on the front. Would I have to replace the factory shock up front?

OK so lets say I get the 5100's all around and do the low arch aal. If I decide to go a little higher can I add spacers on the front and shackles on the back and be ok?
