    Put on some Kumho Road Venture ATs in P265/75/16. They are an improvement over the 10ply 245s that it came with in EVERY way. Because they are P-rated, I saved weight over the previous tires too.

    Factory OEM antenna was bent and to long / tall (imho). I prefer a flex unit. Installed (tough installation again, I know) a new whip on the whip... Sonic Electronix, Metra 44-RM1R ~ Best part, it's cheap, $7.99 plus freight.

    ** BTW, I purchased several before and the adapters didn't work, this Metra did. Taco's need a long reach adapter stud... Just Sayin'

    I use my OEM antenna as a clearance indicator for parking garages. I marked it level with the tip of the shark antenna so if it bangs anything below that line I know I won't clear the roof.

    Which thread pitch for the Tacoma Auto: 12mmX1.25 or 8mmX1.25? I have had my shift knob off a couple of times, but never paid attention to the thread size. Besides my calibrated eye does much better at SAE than Metric. I could just check when I get home too.
