I have a 2013 model that did not have a factory hitch. We recently put one on and used the T connectors to add the 4 pin flat wire connector. We need to upgrade to the 7 pin round connector with a brake controller. I checked under the dash and found the small white 'plug n play' connector for the brake controller.

So, the question is this - Since there is a 'plug and play' connector under the dash, is there some corresponding wiring harness tucked up at the 'back' of the truck somewhere? I can't find it.

Since your truck doesnt have a factory tow package that little pig tail is a dummy. I'm fairly certain.

Best bet is to buy a nice brake controller like a tekonsha primus iq which is an excellent unit and about $100 on Amazon. Then head to a trailer place to get everything professionally installed.
