I was looking at a set of wheels and was wondering if it's safe to run Beadlocks for everyday use? I know some people say as long as it's DOT approved, but haven't really found any dangers on running one.

    Any thing is helpful. Thanks..

I have been running ATX chamber pro II beadlocks on 35s for about a month now; using it as a drunk as a daily driver. I used the dynabeads to balance them with filtered valve stems and I have had no real issues (besides cab mount clearance).

I have seen some real bad stuff happen if you don't do the appropriate procedures and almost had issues myself. You can find carnage pics if you look for those threads.

If you plan on installing them yourself it's a PITA! I ended up having discount tire seat the first bead and then I finishes the install myself. There are good videos on how to do the install. Make sure the second bead is fully seated before installing the ring. Continue torqueing until it is set the the proper torque. Used a strap to keep it from expanding and fill it up. Check the ring torque after 50-100 miles then every couple hundred miles after that.

The only problem that I had is that my lugs did not seat properly and one wheel came loose. I caught it before it did damage.

it sounds like more of a PITA then what I wanna deal with. I won't be doing any off-roading other than very mild stuff (2016 Tacoma) so it may better off for me to have the cute fake Beadlocks lol.

Thanks for the help @InTheRough !

No problem. I do like to pass on info where I can. I fell like that is why a lot of people stay away from them. To me, I haven't found a nicer rim as far as aesthetics go. Checking the torque every so often doesn't take too much time. The hardest part was the initial mounting.

Either way you go, best of luck in your search!
