Thank you for the information! I haven't looked through your build recently, but is there a suggested battery box/cage for frame mounting? Or would it be better to do a custom fab?
Will do, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it won't lift the hood too much as the rubber adjustment knobs are fully tightened. Had to file the passenger knob down a little bit to even it out without the washers.

Street taco has been MIA. I recommend finding another source.

I'm in the process of relocating my batteries right now. Looking like they will be going into the bed. Not enough room behind my driver rear seat for dual optimas and I have the factory JBL system on the pass rear behind the seat.

Not sure which battery you're going with but I've often thought about the .50 cal ammo cans being a good place to store it in the bed. If it's done right it could be a clean setup. Any thoughts on this setup Aaron? Other than if the battery would fit in the can, any cons to this approach?

I actually was thinking about that today when trying to come up with ideas.

I can get cans all day long at a real good price but I think it'd be hard to secure the battery inside and I'd rather not be reaching into a metal box playing with unprotected terminals LOL.

Looking at the Artec side by side grp 34 cage

    Allstar battery box PN 76100

If you go this route to mount to frame, be aware you will need an additional 1/8" thick plate welded at the bottom of the box as additional reinforcement. A fab shop can make that for you no problem. As for the type of battery you can run a group 65 Odyssey battery perfect fit. It is the setup I currently run. Works like a charm.

As for remote access terminals for the front where the stock battery rests on the fender, run these:

Did this today. Was easy to do. Put the big spacer and washer on top. Had to adjust the hood buffers some. Passengers side is definitely higher but not enough to make a big deal of. Surprisingly my stock bushings were not toast like most people have experienced. I have 97,000 miles and I was expecting worse. However changing to the new ones did make a difference in the way the truck felt while driving.

I think at this point it's pretty safe to say that this highly regarded to as an upgrade more than a downgrade at this point by a good portion of the TW community.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it!

About a week ago, my truck was feeling less than spectacular. It turns out that my passenger side radiator bushing bolt self loosened on a 250 mile dirt adventure in Death Valley. I found it and torqued that bitch, and my truck is awesome again.

Yep. Loosen both sides jack the body up from the wheel well using the factory bottlejack and have fun.

Or you can use a prybar like some of us did. It will be a tight fit to get it in there (that's what she said) but it's well worth it.

I think there's a few more miles left left to go on the OEM bushings, nothing to worry about..
