    I am in the market for a pair of retrofits for my 2013. Came across this site, but didn't really find anything when I searched for "American Retrofits." Anybody bought their products and give some insight on them before purchase? Seems like a good deal for under $900 brand new. I saw some used ones on here a couple times for around $800...

    Do yours put out an even light pattern? Just installed mine yesterday and they look incredible up close and in daylight, but the shrouds look like they weren't quite installed straight so the headlight pattern is all over the place.

    Fox 2.0 IFPs, superbumps, LR UCA, Walker Evans and Dakars
    I had to repair a set some got from these shady fucks. They claimed they sold the guy morimoto mini d2s. I got the lights in and started disassembly... fucking knock off Chinese mini h1s with tape wrapped around the projector to make the shroud fit. Chrome wassnt stripped so the paint flaked extremely easily and the supplied a "morimoto" harness. Chinese eBay harness.

    Ordered mine at the beginning of March, and i still have not received them. I think this company is a scam. I have tried to contact them so many times already and they do not respond, i also got an email that my order was being shipped yet when i look at the tracking it just states they created a label, which has been under the same status for weeks. I feel like they did that just to get me off their back, and to make things worse when i had spoke to the guy he said they ship by UPS so i had given them a particular address for UPS, they ended up using USPS so who knows where my package is even being shipped to. I would not buy from these guys again, you would think they would be responsive with customers especially if we spend over $1000 on their product.

    I ordered some Morimoto LED fog lights from them 4 weeks ago. I still have not received a shipping notification and it's not even a custom product so it should not take long. Now it seems like there website/server is down so I can't even email them. I've tried contacting them on social media a couple times now with no response. I'm afraid they stole my money. Good thing I didn't order $1000 headlights.

    Their website has been down for about a week now. I tried messaging the owner on Facebook and got no reply. Ordered mine through Kustom54Lighting instead.

    In case anyone was wondering...yes, this company still sucks.

    I’d strongly recommend you avoid them at all costs. Hard to tell in the picture but this is where the ~2K dollars worth of product ended up...not on my truck, but in a box in the closet.

    After 2 years of fighting non existent customer service, faulty parts, condensation in lenses, lights going out, shrouds falling off, I ripped the custom headlights and matching fog lights out and went back to complete stock.

    At least I have a working set of headlights now....:frusty:

    I have to completely agree with you. I’ve fixed so much stuff on my set it’s embarrassing for the company honestly. The more stuff I fix the more my stomach hurts when I see how poorly they were made. I’ve sent a few pictures to other, more professional headlight shops and they were absolutely blown away. Moral of the story if you’re gonna spend a grand or more on headlights. Or even $50 stay away from American retrofits.
