Alright guys here's what's up. Just got new frame put on and was determined to protect it from the salt storm coming. Frames great truck rides great people should not be nervous about this job I think these dealers have it down to a science. So I ran out and got fluid film from lowes price was not bad 9.90 for 11.75 oz. Application went smooth even had extension wand for inside frame. So now what do I do after storm in regards to washing off frame. Do I hit it hard or just rinse good with water.I'd like to preserve as much of the protection as possible but if need be I'd be willing to wash it off hard and reapply. Suggestions as to best way to handle appreciated.Tia

If you got it coated leave it alone. 5th winter with mine and FF frame is still black. I can do mine 3-4 times with a one gallon can so your a bit light with one 12 oz can.

Hi, thanks for the reply maineah I used about 5 cans. I think it's a decent coating. So should I at least spray a soft stream of water ?

I would just take it to the wash every week when show hits.. Or just keep it in the garage :)

No you'll just wash off some of the FF. I do mine once a year pressure wash it before hand as best I can then coat it again it usually is pretty much still oily every where so I just try to get what ever dirt off. The whole truck right now is covered in road salt (that's how neighboring NH likes to clear the roads) so I can tell you the FF works! 5 cans should do it. Don't forget to FF your spare wheel.
