Finally back in the "Tacoma Family"

I purchased a 2016 Super White TRD Sport DC 2 wheel drive truck yesterday and couldn't be happier!

To make it sweeter the dealer beat the "True Market Value/What Others Buy" price by $1k on it & gave me a discount on any parts I ordered within 30 days - and promised to beat competitors. Needless to say I did some shopping this morning there and was given a quote of $950 for (all OEM):

Bed Mat
Hitch Cover
Super White Touch-Up Pen & Clear-Coat Pen
Mud Flaps
Predator Bars
TRD Exhaust Tip (I know it's just for looks, but I'm not too proud to admit I do more mall crawling than off-roading)
Door Sills

I then went on eBay and added all the items to my cart (and went with the cheapest I could find including S&H) and was able to find it all for about $860. I printed my eBay "cart" and went back to my dealer, and low and behold, not only did they match the price (which is what I was hoping for and even asked the guy if they could do) but are now doing it all out the door for $780!

Add that to the WeatherTech mats that I ordered and I'll be set for a while until I get some in-channel vent visors and seat covers.

 

To clarify I had a 2010 MGM Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4 but unfortunately parted ways with it in March of 2011 as I took a job commuting 50+ miles each way every day and opted for a Chevrolet Cruze at the time - immediately regretted it and wished I had purchased a Corolla (which is what I had that preceded the 2010 Tacoma).

Yeah this was the most surprising part of it for me. I even had him send me over a copy of the order before I agreed to it so I could ensure it was the correct part numbers.

 

Its stock right now but I'll post one when I get home.

Here's the first one after I got it delivered to work, unfortunately I parked it when I got home and we've been out of town all weekend (drove the wife's grand Cherokee) - so I haven't been able to tinker with it at all yet.

I actually started out wanting a gently used 15 but after test driving the 16 and then finding out my credit union was giving me 1.99% on a new one or 4.49% on a used one (SETF offered 3.75/4.75) the price difference was basically zero in total payback between the two. So having the tech package, moon roof etc won me over.
