I have had two sets of the Cooper AT/3 and they have been my favorite tire to date besides the Michelins on my wifes 4Runner. Great all around tire. They are a bit noisy on the road but I like that. Treadware has been fantastic on both sets. I would highly recommend. I cannot give any input on the Toyo tires as I have never had a set. I did have a set of the Firestones and they were a great tire, it seemed once they got about 30k miles on them, their handling went down hill. Not sure if thats the case with all of them of just the set I had.

Thanks Josh I appreciate it! I am on the fence, still haven't gone yet. Right now I am leaning toward the Firestones bc of good reviews for snow and the price is pretty compelling. I see a lot of mixed reviews on Coopers, but I am trying to love them haha.

Take a look at cooper at/w. Same as the at3 with more siping. Sounds like it would be perfect for your application. Just put a set of them on my wife's T4R.

We had the firestones on a bunch of company trucks. Not too impressed with them. They were used for probably 50% on road, 50% off road on transmission line construction access roads. I was not impressed with their winter traction.

One tire to look at is the Michelin LTX AT/2. They dont have a real aggressive look but the reviews are superb on them. I seriously considering getting those for the wifes 4Runner but ended up going with the LTX MS/2.

I like this sidewall design. I can't find any AT3s within 40 minutes so I'm going with the Adventurer A/Ts. From all I can tell, they're the same tire except sold exclusively at Pepboys, $10 cheaper and 5,000 less miles on the tire warranty.

I was so much disappoint with my Firestones on my last truck. They were great for 14,000 miles then road noise and vibration for the rest of their lifetime. Sidewalls started cracking after 3 years.

haha where were all you guys at 230 when my wife took the 4runner to the shop and put the firestones on??? hmmmm???
it's all good, we will give them a shot and see what happens. Like every tire out there, some people have good experiences, some have bad experiences, hopefully we got a good set!

I put Firestone on my wife's VW. They were great. Truck tires, not so great.

Have had them for a few months now and I really like them. They have a slight hum which is to be expected, but barely noticeable. Just had a chance to test them in snow back to back against BFG KO2's on my FJ which were bought about the same time as my wife's coopers.

The bfg's did well in the snow, no drama when light smooth pedal application was used. Decent stopping/ handling. The coopers were awesome though. Much more grip, judging by the amount of pedal mashing and asshatery the tires allowed while maintaining traction. Obviously they have much more siping than the bfg's so it was to be expected, but they were really great imo. I would definitely recommend them.
