I just purchased , then installed a set of O.E.M. spec fog lights that fit perfectly into my black
plastic bumper... the problem is, these lights didn't come with any written instructions or diagrams for wiring, and I know the (2) red wires need to be tapped into a 12v source
under the hood that only has power running to it when the key is turned on. So , my question is , how is the best way to connect the two positive red wires into the vehicles' wiring , without cutting or drilling holes into the fuse box , etc. ? I cannot just run the wires to the battery, as the dash mounted fog light switch will stay illuminated all the time, and run down the battery. Any help would be much appreciated.

I should mention that a Toyota PDF won't help, as the color of the wires in my kit is different than the actual Toyota Factory part wire kit. My kit is aftermarket, with a very similar wiring harness as the Toyota one, but it is different. Is there a way to tap into wire that is accessible without tearing apart my dash ? ...preferably somewhere near the fuse box inside the engine compartment , as that is where the red wires in my harness are closest to. I just need to know what color wire only has power running thru it when the key is turned on. Thanks for any help.

I feel your pain. Mine are still in the box. I can't find anything that looks like much help. The .PDF from McDonough is the only thing close, no YouTube for 2012-2015. Guess I will be tackling this when it warms up............
Can anyone tell me the easiest way to tell if my 2014 is pre wired for fog lights?

    Thanks
