2004 Red Tacoma TRD Off Road
Hi guys! I am new to this thread. Been browsing around a bit but finally decided to introduce myself. I am finalizing on a home purchase this week so in preparation for that I purchased a Red 2004 Toyota tacoma v6 4x4 off road manual. I come from a history of sports cars so getting a truck is a completely new experince for me. I have lots questions about tacoma trucks.

I am very interested in more power. What is a typical upgrade that actually adds power? I am aware of the TRD SC. But that is quite spendy. (Not sure I want to go that route yet.)

The exhaust and intake I don't see adding much if anything at all other than sound without a proper tune.

A tune will be required for these two modifications? So what kind of power can you expect to gain and who around the Seattle are could preform this tune on a truck?

Any other engine mods that are typically done to the Tacoma? Not looking to break the bank but wouldn't mind a bit more power. Possibly could increase efficiency as well?
