    No I believe not, at least not in my experience with GM part time tranfers, I dunno abt the Japanese. lol @Aussiek2000

    Driving in a straight line on pavement in 4HI is no big deal , been doing it a couple times a week to satisfy Toyota's suggestion to exercise the 4WD system monthly

    Only in the MT Subarus I think. CVTs all use an electronic multiplate clutch, old school autos (are there any left in the lineup even?) use a similar multiplate clutch with a planetary diff and different standard torque split, and the STi uses DCCD.
