Is trimming necessary for 20x12s on 33s?

    Hi all,

I am putting a 6" BDS lift on my 2015 Taco and I am being told that 20x12 rims on 33s won't fit without trimming. My truck is relatively new and I don't want to chop it up just yet. I'm being told 4.5 back spacing (ie 10") is as big as I can go without rubbing.

Is this true? I love the look of a wide lip of a 20x12 but don't want to trim.

    Feedback?

    Thanks!

You might have better luck posting in the Hawaii section.

So I guess 26s are out of the question?

Still new to the Tacoma world so I'm still learning.

You realize you already hacked up your truck when the lift went on? You had to hack up the cross member.

I have the 6 inch procomp lift, I run 325/60/18 on an 18x9 wheel. They rub. The sway bar and the fender flare. If I flex I'd hate to see what is going to get messed up.
