I sincerely hope that nobody takes a word you say seriously, because if they did, they too would be wrong.

To top that, you are in no position to suggest who should and shouldn't participate in a thread that SOMEBODY ELSE started. Give you a power rush to pretend to be internet moderator against truth and logic?

    **** MADE SMOKE ****
Now if you can explain how it can be sitting on the pavement making SMOKE and yet have no traction, then please do so.

Ok, that is useful information. I stand by my suggestion that the brake on one of your front wheels was frozen.

You're dead wrong. The front wheel that was not spinning was probably locked in place from hard packed snow and ice. The truck was off-center, putting more weight on that side ... the tire that was smoking against the pavement was probably making very little contact, and making smoke after spinning lightly against the pavement a thousand revolutions... an OPEN front differential will send all available power to the wheel with the least traction. Power follows the path of least resistance. If he had a new Taco with ATRAC, the brake traction control would have applied the brake to the wheel spinning against the pavement to slow it down and create resistance, which would have sent power across the axle to the front tire that was not spinning.

    Physics bro, physics.

Maybe it was a Super 8, I've heard bad things about the level of erroneous knowledge transfer there.

Sorry but I forgot to add that my ABS and brake lights came on in all of this. They went back off once I drove it a mile. The front right was on black top, but it was wet blacktop, of course. The backhoe had a real tough time pulling it out too, because he couldn't get a solid position and was spinning, so it was a combination of things. He was willing to pull me out and scoop my driveway for $50 but he worked so hard for it, I gave him another $50. In all, I'm just evaluating and trying to understand so it doesn't happen again.

Are you kidding? I am now following tgear.shead with email notifications. Also checking with mods for reserving accomodations in a certain thread for him.

Wow. Reminds me of the "physics are physics" post by the last dipshit who has never driven in the ice or snow.

We had 3-4' feet of snow. Even after a local farmer drove through with a plow he left well over a foot on the ground. As long as I kept moving I was fine, and I was dragging through a good bit of it.

Someone needs to post that video from the 60's or whenever about how a differential works. Maybe gear shed would understand then?

Entertaining, sure. But I got sucked into 10 minutes of that shit before I even got my first cup of coffee for the day. He called me dense for heaven's sake. After that I couldn't stop pointing out all his ignorant comments. Now I let you guys carry on with it.
