Ha I reread what I wrote and saw where I was posting it from. I had a good chuckle that I unintentionally made a funny.

Still light up and work well? Can I hook up a 5 gallon propane tank or just those little cans?

Yeah I think my gramps has like 10 of them because he always loses them when we camp and then they pop up after he's bought a new one.

I was just at walmart and they got a little table top kingsford charcoal grill like this brand new for $20. I was thinking I could fab a propane burner into for cheap.

Just a bunch of old crap
I may swoop on those if you still have them this weekend. I'm in Peoria so I'm pretty far but I'd make the drive to get them. Unless you have plans to be further into town, I could meet you.

This is a "white gas" burner which uses a liquid fuel. Pros: works at altitude, cold weather camps better than lp, butane or iso and fuel is dirt cheap. Cons: not nearly as easy to operate as the canister/lp systems.

Here is an Amazon link for this style, hasn't changed in 20 years (bombproof).http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001D..._UL100_SR100,100_&refRID=0EQ2ZWG4XPS2V0Z3ZSSA

I wont know till Thursday eve or Fri AM if I'm going to be in town for the weekend. If I am, cruising out somewhere is no big deal for me. Everything is 20 - 40 minutes away!!!!

Not a problem. And sorry, didn't mean to come off like an a** with the white gas emphasis. Work is spilling over today.
