I had a 40 series with everything else stock and it droned.
Eventually I did a lot of other work to my truck and had a super44 on a 3" exhaust, no cats, headers, ypipe.... and it droned........ then installed a second smaller borla after the ypipe and im golden....... but its dependent on how much racket u can deal with in the cab and any other mods u have done.

This is all on the 4.0 btw...... but odds are ur gunna get drone still. Have a shop clamp one on and start it and hold the rpm at highway speed..... the sound wont be exactly the same due to no load, but it may help u find the right muffler
