Hi guys. I was going through this forum and it looks like you guys know pretty much everything about Tacos. This is my first post and was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I have a 2007 Taco, double cab, short bed. I was going on a long drive and saw that the TPMS light was lit. I pulled over and made sure that all the tires were properly inflated, which they were. During the inspection, I saw about two feet of loose white wire hanging down from the undercarriage of the truck, hitting the ground.

The wire is along the left beam of the frame, about a foot or two before the fuel tank. I couldn't figure out where the wire is supposed to connect to. I didn't see the other part of the wire, or any plugs, near the left rear tire or the fuel tank.

I figure the wire is associated with the TPMS since the light activated at around the same time I discovered the loose wire. Does anyone know what the wire is for, or more importantly, where it connects to? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

P.S., I can take pics if needed.

I think you can reset the TPMS system have you tried that yet?

Yeah, I tried that procedure, but the light stayed lit.

More importantly than the TPMS light, I was wondering if anyone knew what the white wire was for.

Might post some pictures. I believe that the TPMS transmitters in your tires are wireless. Have you checked to make sure your tail lights are working?
