Hello to every one ! Yeh I'm a new bee.
Picked up my new 2016 Tacoma 3 weeks ago, after trading in my 2007 4Runner LTD. Upon doing so I left my snow tires on the 4Runner and keeped the original 18 inch summer tires and rims. I did this so I could use my 4Runner rims and Tire pressure Sensores for winter on the new Tacoma. This allowed me to keep the tires that were on the new Tacoma as "summers tires". All I had to do was buy new winter rubber for the wheels.( I had beat up old Tacoma rims on the 4Runner with no TPS monitor in them for winters. ) the winter salt really damages the finish on the rims in Ontario!

Dealer told me no problem , so the new rubber on the 4Runner rims wit the old sensors .( installation balancing$$$) Programmed the truck for the old sensors, and "bobs your uncle"! I thought! After 3 visits back to the dealer they informed me the Tacoma has a new monitoring system and the old Tire Pressure valve stems do not work⚡️.... I need new tire pressure monitor and stem in the tires for $390. They gave me a dealt hey told me. 4 X sensor @ $50. Each and rebalanced and installed .

So just for everyone's information old Trie Pressure Sensors are not conpatable in the New 2016 systems. I think this is true across the board with all models but do not know for sure, but defiantly not conpatable for the 2016 Tacoma.
