Success! Went back together well, noted no rubber cushion under the new marlin crawler seat. Shifts well, smooth. Note, lot of sharp edges so if you are going to do this use caution, I'd also recommend putting the shift knobs back in after console and plate are removed, the threads are sharp and took a nice chunk of skin off my wrist.

Thanks gearchruncher and the rest of you guys for chiming in.

Which bushing set did you order? My wife's 95 Taco shifter needs some TLC as is sloppy and shifter will even turn sideways. Wish I could find an exploded view. My manual doesn't show that.

Neat thanks a bunch. Does hat get both top and bottom of the seat? Was the bottom of the shifter bushing wore as well?

Bushing and seat are separate items if that is what you are asking.

My original bushing didn't look bad, but the seat was wasted. Works great now. Check the videos/links I posted in this thread they may help too.

Not sure as haven't pulled the shifter yet but think on bottom of the shifter is a plastic cup looking bushing. I haven't seen anything about if it comes with it or not. I know on many older trucks there was none so maybe not on mine as well.
