Order Time

Does anyone know how long it is currently taking for orders of new Tacomas? I'm trying to time it with the end of my old vehicle's lease. I'm getter older and decided I no longer want to accept an off-the-lot vehicle with options and color I don't want.
I have 9 weeks until my lease runs out, and hearing estimates from 4 weeks to 8 weeks.
Has anyone bought recently? Does it vary by area of the country? I am in central New Jersey.

 

Varies on several things.

When ordering on a time frame, today is better than tomorrow and you should definitely find a reputable, no nonsense dealer first (and quickly).

My order took 4 1/2 months. Normally they're 8-12 weeks.

 

Im a new car salesman here in MA... It depends on the vehicle, equipment, when they pick up the dealers order, location, and more. Order as soon as possible and they can hold it for you until your new truck come in on the car carrier.

 

I'm in Pennsylvania. Put a deposit down on 12/9. Final Spec Sheet received on 12/31. Build Date is 2/2 with delivery 2 to 3 weeks after. 2016 DCSB TRD Sport 4X4 Auto w/JBL. Super White. I was originally told 8 to 12 weeks so I think that is pretty accurate, at least for my build anyway. As I scour these threads daily, dare I say that it seems as if some are getting their trucks a little bit sooner than expected, but I doubt this is true with all models and configurations.
