Also, DO searches on cars.com as you can do nationwide searches!! It's worth it.

(Cargurus.com only searches up to 500 miles unfortunately)

Sitting at the desk now with these!

I was looking for this exact truck until I talked to two separate dealers 280 miles apart from each other. The first one told me that this truck wouldn't be available for 6 months. (They were kind of pushy, so I take their word with a grain of salt). The second dealer (the one I'm working with now) said they don't know when it would be built and can only request an allocation... best result they told me is minimum 4 months, with no max given :( They said there isn't a high demand for the Quicksand color. Now if you want a MGM they could get it within a week or two.

I changed to a DCSB OR in Quicksand (Tow package, locking tailgate, tonneau cover, no other options) and was told 6-8 weeks minimum.

Got mine in today. Also sent an email to another salesman at a competing dealership blasting him for lying. I was at his dealership two weeks ago test driving the manual transmission truck they had. He wanted to make a sale, I was game. But turned off because he lied to my face.
    • Ordered - 11/9/15
    • Temp VIN issued - 12/14/15
    • Dealer called saying truck is in - 1/20/16
    • Picked up truck - 1/29/16

I had bad experience shopping too. Dealer wouldn't give me a selling price unless I committed. I walked out.

I got a call from my Dealer today. He wanted to verify if still wanted the truck he located at another Dealer yesterday. The other Dealer is
willing to let him have it. I said yes. So he's going to pick it up for me. Should have it next week@

What a day!! 2 flights. 4 hours to seal the deal and got 250 miles under my belt in my new beauty!
Done for the night in some little shanty town outside of Indy, 700 miles more tomorrow till home. Loving this truck and the Premium & Tech w/ JBL is worth every cent.

Anyone got an idea of how long I may need to wait on my truck once it's been built? It was built this past Tuesday on January 26 in the Texas plant. I'm in central kentucky. Dealer says it comes in by train to either louisville or Chicago and then to lexington on a truck. But no word as of yet on an ETA.

Internet guys can find your truck within the region. That's how I got mine. I configured a TRD Sport 2WD in white with towing and JBL. They found one headed to a NC dealer and snagged it showing it sold. STILL took six weeks to get as it had been built but not shipped.

The JBL seems to be the hard thing to get from what I am seeing in my region. Only three non Limited trucks had it. People don't want to pay $3000 for the Tech and JBL. Especially those ordering the more expensive 4WDs. That's $3000 in accessories they can buy.

Should be around 2-3 weeks after it's built. Mine took a little over 3 weeks to get to the dealer in MA from the Mexico plant but it was also around the holidays. Your dealer should be able to give you a better update this week as the Dealer Daily will show where your truck is along the way.

GOOD for you man. I have had to get on a plane or rent a one way rental quite a few times in my vehicle buying life. Except for the Tacoma, I flew to Florida, for the MX5. NC for the 08 Vette, NJ for a C7 I decided not to buy. 100 Miles for the Honda CRV, 150 for an Infiniti I bought from a private seller a few years ago. That's why I offered my Toyota dealer $500 above the Invoice price I got from another dealer here in SC 90 miles away,

(and yes the PT with JBL is the bomb)

Mine was made on the 25th in Mexico, on the 27th it was in New Mexico. I have heard the train will do about 500 miles a day. (Not sure if that's right) I'm in Southern Indiana and the pipeline tracking says delivery to dealer 2-6 to 2-10. I think it will be the 8th.
