So took my 2015 v6 6spd to the stealership today for the 25k service.. 23k on the truck. Clutch was not performing well in the cold when I had it in the mountains over New Years. Truck sat outside for a few days at 10k feet and 0 degrees Farenheit when I went to start it, the clutch pedal was extremely sluggish and took a good while to warm up and it was difficult to get into first gear especially. Happened multiple times over the trip. Had the truck in similar conditions in March of 15 with no problems. I mentioned this to the dealer at drop off and on of there techs claims through his bore scope he is seeing dirt on the input shaft and the pilot bearing should be cleaned/replaced. Truck is mostly stock besides cosmetic stuff and a shell; has never been hardcore off roaded either.

I have had no problems in warm weather getting the truck into/shifting gears and the clutch/transmission should not need repair after 23k miles. Tech also says it is leaking "seeping" at the output shaft and they are looking at pulling the tranny to address both issues. Needless to say kinda pissed.... Looking for yalls input.

OK. Let them do their job and fix your truck under warranty.

BTW I have seen the threads on here with the similar clutch rebound troubles.. I feel like it is all in the pedal, not the trans. Anyways, went to pick it up yesterday and they had quite the different tune. Output shaft they are claiming it is either residual or seeping. Need to get under and look for myself. As far as the input shaft/throwout bearing/pilot bearing they said its dirty but dont know if its just clutch dust or other dirt. They wanted to pull the trans to clean and inspect those areas as well as possibly reseal the output shaft as a courtesy. Pull the trans as a coutresy??? WTF? I questioned them about the clutch and trans other parts and honestly I just don't really trust them.

Going to be almost impossible to replicate the problem in TX.

Either way I am going to take it to another dealer to inspect it since its obviously under warranty. Also prob gonna have a friend of mine look at it whos got a first gen, worked for nissan, and now is a heavy equip/diesel mechanic.

Guess I should just stay out of cold weather....

Your truck does not have a pilot bearing, so the idea of it needing cleaning or replacement isn't the brightest plan. The sluggish pedal issue is common in cold conditions - mine has been that way for the 6 years I've owned it, but not a big deal to me as I plug my block heater in when it gets that cold, for better reasons than a sluggish clutch pedal, but it helps there too.
