I'm torn between these 2 great looking wheels! .17x7 trd pro wheels in matte black or 17x8.5 sr8 matte jet wheels. I will be going 265/70/17 on K02. Will the sr8 wheels be noticable wider on a 265? I'm leaning more towards the sr8 since its 8.5inch wide. which one would you choose?

I narrowed my options down to the exact same choices as you and ended up going with the SR8's. What swayed me was the 2-tone color scheme of the SR8's, they weren't solid matte black like the SEMA wheels.

Honestly you can't go wrong with either choice. Both are great looking wheels.

I love the TRD PRO wheels, but the SR8s are wider and they are nice too, so I guess you ... well crap .....

I'm gonna get the stealth 6s personally, but the sr8s are awesome. TRD pro wheels are a close 3rd. Can't really go wrong.

Thanks guys for your input! I have a black 2016 trd sport. You think the sr8 will sit flush with the fender or be slightly passed it with 265? I like the gunmetal as well but not sure how it will look .

Do u have to take those 16 bolts out of each wheel so the tire changer can mount them? I know the're not bead locks. But that would suck.

Bolts dont have to come out. OP, I was in the same boat but Vin explained it would look good on a stock truck and tires, he even sent me pics. I went with the SR 8 in bronze. I didnt want to look like everyone else is what made me decide.

I like the TRD Pro wheels but I don't like the 7" width, I would go with the Jet 8.5 for a better look and stance. I went with FN FX Pro wheels because of the TRD wheel look but wider width.

Agreed on the wider (8") FN wheels. In the 'old days' (that's me). 'Rule of thumb' was to try to select wheel widths to come close to our tire's thread width. I believe this not only looks good, but adds stability to the wide tire.

Your right. I have seen at least 4 trd pro wheels on taco and 4runners. They are nice wheels. I wish I can see the sr8 in person. My concern if it sits flush with the fender. I know the Trd does since I have seen them sits maybe 1/2inch or 3/4 inside the fender.

Here's a side profile of my SR8s with 265 KO2s. They stick out a little more than 1". Perfect stance.

Dean724 thats is what I was looking for! I like that stance! Looks like it just sits right on the edge of the fender. You have more pics?
