Bought at 2000 Tacoma last summer.....with obvious needs.....cracked windshield, torn center bearing rubber, rusted sr5 rear bumper, well worn seats and door trim, repainted rear quarter but done well......frame looks excellent......the only bummer is the engine oil pan, the weld that makes it two piece has rusted out, would be nice to change out if the whole bottom end did not have to come apart to get it off.....anyone else have this problem? I took the skid plate off and drained the oil to TIG weld all the worm holes I would find after Dremel grinding all the thin looking and sounding areas around that weld.... I read a lot of guys note the problem of how the oil filter section mates to block with two bolts and gasket....I think I have a leak their too...

Any of you guys well knowledge with these problems I appreciate your input. Thank you.

Mine seeps slowly. Between oil changes il go halfway down between the oil dipstick range. Im scared to change cause some of the bolts are severely rusted and i dont want to snap or strip one so im okay with it seeping for now and check the level frequently.

Not many. Bet if you mentioned that maybe you live in the rust belt in the forum where you live you'd find many. 2000 + 16 years you'll see all sorts of things.
