Coming up on the 60k Birthday I did a trans fluid change.
Thanx to this write up it was pretty straight forward..

Also taking a road trip see family in New Hampshire, so need to do a oil change and tire rotation. @Pelfreybilt front bumper should be here next week. Need to beef the front end and get a good alignment. Few other things in mind but will be stoked when that's all squared up.

Also grabbed a Mr. Heater for our camp gear.

Nice on the buddy, get yourself a hose with filter so you can run off you big tank. I use mine when camping in winter, I just put it in the annex down below and let the heat rise into the tent. My only shortcoming was I only had 1lb tanks so wasn't able to make it though the night without changing the bottle

Of course I had to open it and run it right away. First impressions was it's a little bigger than I imaged it be but not a bad thing or bad size, kinda the perfect size for a quality heater. Second impression running it, it's gives off a lot of heat! Hard to image having it on high in an enclosed area. I would get one. It's definetly better to have and not need than to need and not have. Only concern is be mindful of anything near it, the outer cage itself gets very hot as well. Gonna be interesting in a ground tent. Will need to figure out best setup with it.

Thanx. What's the filter your talking about? I have a 5' hose for my stove to tank connection but not sure of any filter. I thought the exact setup to put the heater in the annex, possibly hang from the ladder when I get a RTT. It seems a little powerful even on low to have in the tent with you, why I'm weary of it being in my ground tent.

On full heat its a little powerful but low isn't bad, the RTT has a lot of space with being vented its fine. I wouldn't hang from the ladder tho, the heater has pretty good failsafes and the tip over one is sensitive. This is the filter, it just cleans the fuel so you don't have to worry about it the fuel gunk in the heater causing it to stop working.

Me and my girlfriend have been taking out puppy on wheeling trips to rausch and she loves it. A little anxious in the beginning but eventually relaxes and gets used to it. Rausch is kinda a bumpy ride for her, I gotta try the line barrens. I've never been down there but I'm sure she'll love it.

Do you have any pictures of the attachment point of the awning to your racks. Just got one and would like some perspective on it. Thanks. Man. Great build.

Did your awning come with L brackets? Hose clamp or bolt them to the cross bars on the rack. I have 2 hose clamps per L bracket (2 L brackets) and they've been there for 2 years

No L brackets came with it but was thinking some Simpson ties used in framing houses might work. Thanks for the Come back.

Just chiming in here, I bought my awning from @zscott and it came with these aluminum (?) spacers:

    b91a28b8375048cca426b96add5e3010_0cf328c58f70508dc9b8791ce7fe5fc73f406099.jpg

They work GREAT!! I thought I heard he might be offering them to the masses :notsure:

nylon lock nut << washer << roof rack << spacer << awning << bolt in awning channel

They are actually the same spacers I use with the racks. Similar items can be found at Lowes, or if you really wanted them I can get some for whoever is interested. I order all mine for the racks from aluminumspacers.com

Thanks for the responses everyone. I have Yakima racks on top of my shell not sure the spacers would work. I'll post my setup when finished. Shoots

I had my awning mounted on Thule cross bars with L brackets for a while. I'm sure you can find something at Home Depot or lowes that will work for ya.

Still haven't found a way to mount mine to my satisfaction. I want to be able to carry it on the side and then use it on the back of the truck when parked. Need an interchangeable mount...
