I have a good running 3.4 that I pulled out of my 1998 Tacoma. Automatic transmission. Truck ran wonderful the entire, 275,000 miles. Never a check engine light the entire time.

I found another 3.4 Tacoma. Intended to keep the 1998 engine as a spare. I don't know if it makes sense to keep as spare. These engines go 300,000 with regular maintenance. In 10 years, when this truck gets to those numbers, there is a good chance I will be ready for something else.

    What says the Tacoma peeps?
