After several trips back and forth to the dealership for rear suspension noise, a Toyota Engineer finally came out and determined my leaf springs will need to be replaced! This is concerning as, several years back there was a recall for faulty leaf springs. Anyone else having similar noise issues?

What noise are you having? Under what circumstances? What did they say the issue was with the leafs?

A loud squeaking noise when you would move the rear end up/down. At first the dealership said it was not greased, then they said it was dirty and after they serviced it the third time, it started making noise as I left. There were some pretty serious issues several years back with the springs breaking loose and cutting brake lines.

Same leafs as the last gen, they have problems also.

Don't expect any less problems out of them!

The dealership supossably checked all the torques but, i plan on checking myself once they are replaced.

I will have to look for the friction pads...
