This may be beating a dead horse, but I have looked and haven't found much in regards to the new 3rd gens yet. Has anyone tried a 275/70/16 on stock TRD OR set up? I know we sit a little higher from the factory that 2nd gen. I just haven't seen any "yes" or "no" when it comes to rubbing (whether at full lock or stuffed) for the 2016's. Or maybe I just looked all over in the wrong places :(

I'm late to the party but wanted to chime in on why I black out my plates. Firstly, I will offer up this brief/easy read on the subject:

    http://jalopnik.com/5941797/should-you-bother-obscuring-your-license-plates-in-photos

Secondly, on those that think it's paranoia, I can see why they would think that, but it's not always the case. A white Tacoma with TX plates is just another white Tacoma with TX plates. A white Tacoma with my plate number is MY white Tacoma. There is at least one person in my town that has used the internet to stalk me, due to his understanding of my relationship with his ex gf. I no longer have any presence on social media because he has used my pictures on both facebook and instagram in the past to identify my motorcycles as well as issued false reports about wreckless driving. If taking 30 seconds to black out my plate helps mitigate the risk of that occurring again, I'm gonna do it.

Thanks for the answer. I had seen these tires talked about but not released yet. Will be shopping for some 265/70R16 112T's when they are released...:)

So my truck came in with a pretty deep looking scratch on it. i haven't got a chance to talk to the dealer yet cause the truck is at the place where they get the block heater and all the stuff they do when its new done to it. So how do i handle this with them is them just fixing the scratch good enough? I think I'm going to ask for a letter saying if it rust or looks bad there down the road they have to fix it? I don't get to pick it up till Monday night because I'm getting them to switch out the tires. Should i just wait till then to ask about it see if they try fixing it with out telling me witch would kinda bug me!

    Before & after.

Had my Leer 100XQ installed today. Ordered mid-December & arrived this past Thursday. I'm very pleased with the quality & fit. I've only driven the 5-6 miles home & haven't been over 45 MPH yet, but so far, no bad manners.

That sucks! I wouldn't even take the truck if it were me, but I'm anal about that. If they fix it they will have to re spray it and blend it and it will never be the same again. It's up to you, I had a paint issue from the factory on my F150 that I discovered after delivery (bubbles and black specs in paint). They wanted to take the bed off and repaint it, take the windshield out to repaint A pillars on a truck with 90 miles on it. Told them they were crazy. After a long battle I got a free 5yr extended warranty in case anything happened down the road. If you keep it I'd shoot for that.

That looks to be a fairly deep scratch, I would definitely tell them that you know about it.

You are buying a brand new truck and you have a right to pick up an unblemished truck, fixing that scratch so you don't even know it was there should be doable for a good body shop IF they can match the paint.

If you can see it or it is not matched up perfectly after the repairs then you might have to walk if it's going to bug you, I know it would bug me.

It is a new truck and you should be the one that puts the first scratch in it!
