THEWAKLER's 2016 Quicksand TRD OR Build Thread

So I knew I'd eventually end up with a truck, but didn't think it'd happen so quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2013 Subaru BRZ and everything I did to that car, but 3" of clearance and RWD do not lend themselves to hunting and "work." Cody and Eric at Hendrick Toyota of Wilmington were very helpful in quickly finding me the exact truck I wanted, and were able to work the numbers for my trade and my purchase. This truck will be used primarily for commuting 30mi to work each day, beach driving, deer season, Appalachian hiking, and wherever I can find snow.

26 Jan 2016:
Picked her up from the dealership! Took a little longer than expected (4hrs) to complete all the paperwork, and we helped them close that night. It was a pretty tame night drive home with no opportunity to really test the new truck, her time will come.






31 Jan 2016:
Spent the weekend taking care of the chrome badges and installing the simple fixes. Plasti-dipped the front grill and bezel, badges, installed lettering on the tailgate, put in the weathertech mats (front and rear), console organizer (a must do!), and swapped out LEDs for the interior and plate lights.
