I've heard a lot of guys talk about the deck plate mod. I wanna start with the air filter first then deck plate got a few other things to do to it first
    Coils,fuel filter,exhaust leak,vacuum leak somewhere.

IMHO, the stock cold air intake is best. It draws air from the outside.

So-called aftermarket 'cold air' intakes draw hotter air from under the hood, sometimes from directly above the extremely hot exhaust.

^^^agreed! Youve already got a cold air intake on there OP and the deck plate will just negate that feature...

It is possible to have aftermarket intake with washable non-oiled filter that breathes thru same spot as oem.

oem denso's i got mine at advance auto -but you may be able to find the same cheaper online...i seem to recall Amazon haveing them for about 30$ less than what i paid...

as for the deck plate being a negative; seems to read about 7-9 degrees colder air coming at the same outside temperature vs. stock or with the plate in place. it is also reading more atmospheric air pressure (-8psi vs. -11 psi @ 60mph ) at speed than stock or closed with sensor in the ''box'' location (box removed) on the intake tube.
