looking to get a good yet not ridiculously expensive lift kit I was doing some research and kept coming back to this, heard the AALs kinda suck though. Lemme know if anyone has this kit or what they think of it.

I purchased the OME 885 coils and 5100 combo with an AAL from Headstrong off-road. I've been super pleased with it and it's a little bit cheaper than this setup. My AAL's have given me zero trouble and prior to putting Load E tires, it rode better than the factory susp

Is a coil over assembly necessary and worth the extra $100?

I would definitely get the front setup. It's a vast improvement over stock. I would honestly just block or shackle lift in the rear if you need additional lift until you can afford new leafs/shocks. The additional performance of that particular kit in the rear is going to be negligible and definitely not worth the price IMO and the included shocks aren't going to work for any further upgraded rear set ups.

You can find all the components of that kit sold individually at WheelersOffroad.com. They also offer pre-assembly on the front coilovers for $100 which I highly recommend. If you can afford another $400 I would recommend the O.M.E. rear leafs. Haven't owned them personally but I've heard great things.
