99 Prerunner spindles

    Can anybody tell me the difference between the 4 wheel drive spindles and prerunner spindles ? I mean can you bolt manual locking hubs to prerunner spindles .

    I believe the prerunner spindles don't allow room for the front axles so if you're moving toward 4WD you'll need to change them out

    A few.
    There is also a difference between manual locking hub spindles and the automatic disconnecting differential spindles. That said I can't remember exactly what the difference is off the top of my head. The fellow that I bought my topper from had a 4wd converted pre runner with manual hubs. Upon inquiry he stated that it would be fairly complicated, time consuming, and expensive to swap mine to manual, thus I still have A.D.D.
