I know everyone on here hates when I bring up my last ride, but the Tacoma grows on me everyday and I love being able to go places most others can't.

The truck you have on order is a 7545 which is the Manual Transmission. Manual Transmission will not have Crawl Control. If you want the Automatic with MTS and CC, the quote you have posted the photo of is not the right truck.

Again I'm new to this. I had Mustangs for the last 10 years and now I switched over to trucks. I'll get the hang of this yet. Once I order the correct truck.

Take a look at the first post here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ption-costs-master-list.388345/#post-10668071

It has all of the model codes and options. This will help you ensure they get your model and trim package correct. Ask them to see the build sheet once they've completed putting the order in. It is usually in .pdf format so they can email it to you or print it out for you: I have attached a build sheet as an example so you can show them what you want.

I have seen the Crawl Control videos and think it is an awesome piece of engineering. I'd love to have it, but I went with the Manual Transmission instead. My rationale is that all 4x4 will have Crawl Control eventually, and that the Manual Transmission will become a bit of novelty. Maybe last chance to get a mid-size with a stick.

So far, the times that I seem to want to use CC is when I'm going down a steep hill. If the hill is too steep and 1st gear in 4-Low doesn't provide enough engine breaking then I click on the CC. This will slow me down even more. I'm not riding the breaks, even though, effectively this is what's going on, the computer is applying the breaks for me. Going uphill I really don't find myself using it to much so far. I've engaged it a few times in those situations, but I don't like it. When I engage 4-Low I typically also turn on the MTS and try and set it to the type of terrain that I am on. When going up a loose, steep section and there's wheel slippage, the computer takes over at that point. This system is so good that I doubt that I'll need the locker very much. Probably for the rare occasion on a nasty section of trail.

The good thing about it working the brakes for you is that it can help the brakes from overheating. I'm still waiting to test the locker, but haven't had a scenario that calls for it.

Did you read what I posted about my brakes overheating? Post 222 on page 12 explains what happened to me. So be careful! I doubt going downhill will overheat the brakes in CC, that's different than what I did to overheat mine.

The reason I was asking about is the Crawl Control standard on the TRD Off Road? is because every demonstration I've seen on You Tube, the truck has a power sun roof. I did not order my truck with the sun roof. The package I ordered it with was the Hard tri-fold tonneau cover with options $1,300 thats is. I don't want a sun roof. So I was wondering if it comes with the CC feature.
