During my process to convert my 02 Prerunner to 4WD I've come across a LOT of info and I figured it could help some people out.

    So!

There is no difference between Prerunner and 4WD spindles, the only difference in the actual spindle is if they are ABS or not.

    NON-ABS SPINDLES

    01-02 Prerunner - Left: 43202-35061
    01-02 4WD - Left: 43202-35061

    01-02 Prerunner - Rigt: 43201-35071
    01-02 4WD - Right: 43201-35071

    ABS SPINDLES

    01-02 Prerunner - Left: 43202-35071
    01-02 4WD - Left: 43202-35071

    01-02 Prerunner- Right: 43201-35081
    01-02 4WD. - Right: 43201-35081

And also, if you want to do your swap with manual hubs, and you have a Prerunner, or want to swap your ADD to manual hubs...

    NON-ADD / NON-ABS SPINDLES

    95-00 Prerunner - Left: 43202-35061
    95-00 4WD - Left: 43202-35061

    95-00 Prerunner - Right: 43201-35071
    95-00 4WD - Right: 43201-35071

    NON-ADD / ABS SPINDLES

    95-00 Prerunner - Left: 43202-35071
    95-00 4WD - Left: 43202-35071

    95-00 Prerunner - Right: 43201-35081
    95-00 4WD - Right: 43201-35081

So you'll see, all of the spindles match up between Prerunner, 4WD with, and without ADD.

The only differences is the hub assemblies that are attached to them (2WD, 4WD with ADD, 4WD without ADD).

So, you can keep your spindles.

You have to swap your hub assembly, you also have to change the seals on your spindles.

4WD's seals have a hole in the center, to allow the CV axle to pass through the spindle to the hub.

Prerunners have the exact same internals where the wheel bearing is, except it is capped on the rear, (no hole) because no axle is coming through.

Thy seal is p/n: 90316-69001 (you will need 2 of these, one for each spindle.)

If you want to order new, manual hub assemblies, they are p/n: 43502-04030

I've attached 2 pictures to show the seals I'm talking about.

    4WD

The seal I'm talking about is number #11 on the 2WD, (the picture shows it has a hole, but it doesn't on your Prerunner, it's a metal cap) and #15 on the 4WD.

You need 2 of the #15 seals, and 2 manual hub assemblies, or ADD hub assemblies, and you have what you need for 4WD
