Hi, I recently just welded on a new Flowmaster Super 40 on my 2002 Tacoma 2.7. It isn't very loud unless I accelerate very fast. I've been told things like a cold air intake will make it louder. If so, what kind( I am trying not to spend much more on the exhaust, but also understand that these intakes ain't cheap). What about a new exhaust tip or taking the whole pipe that is south of the muffler off? Thanks for ALL AND ANY HELP

Deck plate mod is under $10 and does same thing. The 4 banger really should be kept moderate cause it can get a bit ricey. Tip wont do much for what its worth. Axle dumping exhaust will make it seem louder in the cab but outside it won't be much different.

If your front cat is clogged from high milage, it will make a small difference. Even the rear cat can get clogged. Not likely though
