I have a 2015 Tacoma SR5 and i want to put in a 3 inch lift. I plan on using BF Goodrich KO2's with a 16" rim. I was wondering would that lift make the tires look to small for the lift or am i in the clear?

You can look at my truck, it has the KO2's sized 285/70/17s with a 3" lift and also 1.25" spacers because with the stock wheels the tires slightly rubbed on my UCA's. I love the look, but do still get a very very slight rub on the very inner fender when I turn all the way.

Yes, 285/75r16 will fit well as long as you have wheel spacers. I removed my mud flaps (as well as the little front ones) and don't rub at all.

You don't rub on your inner fender whatsoever?

Nope. I've done some light off-roading too and haven't had any issues.

I have an OME lift w/ 885 coils from Toytec with top plate spacers for full 3" and a differential drop kit. That's all.

I just did the Rough Country 3" Lift and 1.25" spacers for mine and I have some slight rubbing, not if I'm sitting perfectly level though.

Hmm. Well if there is any rubbing when I turn fully it's gotta be so slight that I can't notice it. I haven't seen any rub marks on my tires or fenders.

How do you like the Rough Country lift?

I don't mind it. I mainly did it for the appearance for now. In the future when my truck can become less than a daily driver I plan to do some more major suspension upgrades. The Rough Country Lift is affordable and gets the job done. Had basically the same lift on my truck all through high school and college (89 Toyota Pickup) and it was awesome offroad. Being in Alabama we don't have great areas for rock climbing or major "suspension needs" so this was a step 1 that will be replaced one day.

Id say im kinda in the same position, eventually im going to go full prerunner but for now it is my daily driver and it gets my bike to the track. I wasnt really sure if it was worth the 250 bucks since several people commented on a post i made said it was crap. I guess its a case by case situation.

It's definitely case by case. For my current situation it works great, but it's not the best you can get. I needed new tires and wanted to go ahead and buy larger ones since they were my largest expense, and to do so I needed a lift. The Rough Country lift satisfied my needs and gets the job done for now.
