Day 2 of no engine light looks like the true problem was the gas cap! Woohoo. Cheap fix. Now onto the abs issue.

Correct me if I am wrong but I know it's true on my 2012 V6 Taco but on the 2012 - present it supposed to be on "Trip A" not the odometer and then hold the odometer button and turn ignition on then you get the dashes

Is that correct? because I ran into that problem after changing my own oil and found it in my manual

 

I dont know if that's right or not. I never read the manual. I just do what I said and it works. I just hold the button down before even putting the key in

 

Turn the key on the the 2nd position, switch odo to "trip A", switch key back off, press and hold the odo button and turn key to 2nd position. 5 dashes will "count down" then you will see 6 0's, then maint light will go off.
